Stronger Together Unidos is a student-led, student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting higher education among Indiana Latinos, offering comprehensive economic, cultural, and social support for students, parents, and community members.
Our Story
Stronger Together Unidos is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2021 by Dayani Guevara and Irasema Trujillo to empower Latino students to not only access, but to also thrive in higher education spaces. The idea for Stronger Together Unidos was born while Dayani and Irasema were still in high school, as they confronted firsthand the systemic barriers facing students like themselves. After asking one simple but transformative question—“What are we waiting for?”—they decided to take action and build the support system they wished had existed for them.
Rooted in the founders’ lived experiences as children of immigrants, the organization believes education is a lifeline and mentorship is a powerful catalyst for change, providing students and their parents with the guidance, resources, and community needed to not only reach college, but succeed beyond it.​
